Tensions in the Persian Gulf have escalated sharply following reports of missile attacks targeting United States military facilities in the region. Iranian state television, citing military sources, announced that Iran had launched strikes against U.S. bases located in several Gulf countries.

According to multiple media reports, explosions were heard in Abu Dhabi, prompting the United Arab Emirates to temporarily close its airspace. Reports indicate that the Al Dhafra Air Base, which hosts U.S. forces, may have been targeted by Iranian ballistic missiles, with witnesses describing large explosions in the vicinity.

In Manama, Bahrain, smoke was reportedly seen in the Al Jufair district, home to the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet, following what sources described as a suspected Iranian strike.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior urged residents to remain indoors and avoid military areas after a missile threat was reported near Al Udeid Air Base, the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East. Officials said a Patriot missile defense system intercepted the incoming projectile. Qatari authorities also announced the temporary closure of the country’s airspace as a precautionary security measure.
